In a meeting with White House advisers this week, President Donald Trump floated a plan for a 2024 election run if his lawsuits are unable to invalidate the November election results.
One adviser said, “He knows it’s over.”
According to sources familiar with the administration’s operations, Trump has no further strategy for challenging President-elect Joe Biden‘s victory.
Trump’s campaign has filed lawsuits in the states of Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania. In addition to his lawsuits, the president has spent the past week posting about election fraud and claiming “victory” on Twitter. Courts have thrown out may of the lawsuits due to lack of evidence and unprofessional legal filings.
