2020 Election

Peter Navarro Reveals Trump’s Attempted ‘Coup’ To Overturn Election Results, ‘The Green Bay Sweep’

It was called “The Green Bay Sweep.”

It sounds like the famous Vince Lombardi football play you may have seen when watching the  Green Bay Packers play in the 1960s, but rather, it’s the name of Donald Trump‘s plot to overturn the 2020 Election, confirms Peter Navarro, an economist and Trump aide.

Navarro shared the details in his new book and on the record in an interview with MSNBC chief legal correspondent, Ari Melber.

“The [Green Bay] Sweep was simply that. We were gonna challenge the results of the election in the six battleground states. They were Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada,” Navarro said. “And basically, these were the places where we believed that if the votes were sent back to those battleground states and looked at again, that there would be enough concern amongst the legislatures that most or all of those states would decertify the election.”

Navarro alleges that they had 100 Congress members on board and the only thing that blocked the plan’s success was the Capitol riot. When the attack took place, it gave Republican leaders a reason to pull out, he said. The other problem was that Vice President Mike Pence was never completely in on the plan. Pence instead affirmed President Biden’s win.

Navarro strangely admitted to and publicized what could be defined as an attempted coup.

Questions have been raised about why he is sharing this, and some point to the fact that Navarro is just trying to sell his book.
