Emily Murphy, the administrator of the General Services Association, has refused to sign a letter that gives President-elect Joe Biden and his team access to officials, office space and funding designated for the winner of the 2020 presidential race.
The letter signified the official declaration from the federal government about Biden’s presidential race victory, but Murphy’s refusal also hinted at how President Donald Trump has failed to acknowledge Biden’s win.
Despite Biden being projected as the winner of the election by all major media outlets, Murphy has not shown any intention of signing the letters that would hand resources to the President-elect’s team.
According to GSA spokeswoman Pamela Pennington, “An ascertainment has not yet been made. Its Administrator will continue to abide by, and fulfill, all requirements under the law.”
