Cyber Ninjas, Firm That Oversaw Arizona Vote Audit, Shutting Down

Cyber Ninjas, a company that became known for conducting a problematic review of the 2020 presidential votes in Arizona, is shutting down according to representative Rod Thomson.

“$2 million debt from the Arizona audit and endless legal and character attacks on the company by those who opposed the audit,” are the main reasons for the company’s closure, said Thomson.

Arizona’s Republican-controlled State Senate first ordered a review of the 2.1 million votes cast in Arizona after Trump narrowly lost the state to Joe Biden. The opening of the audit itself was widely criticized by Democrats as a further attempt to undermine Biden’s 2020 election victory at a state level. Its objectivity was also questioned because one of Cyber NInja’s chief executives, Doug Logan, had previously spread baseless election fraud conspiracies online.

Cyber Ninja’s report was released in July 2021, and it made about 77 claims of irregularities but ultimately found that Biden won by an even greater margin than initially determined.

However, Maricopa County Officials released a full rebuttal of the firm’s claims last week. Out of all of their claims of irregularities, county officials were able to determine that only one was valid and the rest were false.

Cyber Ninjas has yet to declare bankruptcy, but it confirmed that it laid off all its employees at the end of last week.
