At a White House briefing, President Donald Trump ranted about mail-in ballots and how the process was vulnerable to “foreign interference.”
He gave stern warnings to the public, saying that any sort of “violent protests” on Election Day will be put down “very, very quickly.”
Trump also brought up the scenario that the election may be so contested to the point where the president is not selected by direct vote or the Electoral College, but by the House of Representatives.
It’s not just the counting of the ballots, which, by the way will take forever. It’ll take forever. You think November 3rd? You might not have – I guess, at a certain point it goes to Congress. At a certain point it goes to Congress – you know that,” he added.
