Journalist Bob Woodward has revealed more of his audio recordings featuring President Donald Trump.
On July 21, Woodward told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that he asked the president, “In terms of the virus, what grade would you give yourself?”
Trump responded, “Other than the public relations, which is impossible because it is fake media. Fake. It’s all fake.”
He continued on about the “fakeness” of media and avoided Woodward’s initial question.

“So, what’s the grade,” Woodward asked once again.
Trump said, “I give ourselves an A. But the grade is incomplete. If we come up with the vaccines and therapeutics, then I give ourselves an A-plus.”
In the interview, Woodward said that the president “failed to use the knowledge he had” and “failed to protect the American people” with a rise in the coronavirus cases.
“It’s one of the saddest utterances I’ve ever heard of from one of the presidents of the United States, including some of the things Nixon said on his tapes,” Woodward mentioned.
Cooper asked, “Really? Some of the things Nixon said were racist and shocking.”
Woodward responded, “Shocking and criminal, but 142,000 people did not die.”
Woodward focused on the president’s job in combatting the pandemic and insisted Trump “knew what was coming but failed to act.”
