Former Trump Campaign Manager Brad Parscale Hospitalized After Armed Standoff With Police

On Sunday, President Donald Trump‘s ex-campaign manager Brad Parscale was sent to a Florida hospital after barricading himself in his home with firearms and an intense stand-off with police.

Parscale’s wife had phoned the police after Parscale expressed symptoms of being suicidal while possessing firearms in the household.

Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Karen Dietrich commented, “We went out and it was very short. We went and got him help.”

She said that Parscale, who remains a senior adviser to the Trump campaign, willingly went with law enforcement to a local hospital and did not utilize his firearms during the stand-off.

“Politics aside, this fellow obviously suffers from emotional distress,” Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis told the Sun-Sentinel. “I’m glad he didn’t do any harm to himself or others. I commend our SWAT team for being able to negotiate a peaceful ending to this.”

The Trump campaign said that it was “ready to support him and his family in any possible way.”
